Sneaky Sneak in the Castle Keep
Objective:
- Get Chronic Seether to sign pact
- Explore the underside of the keep
Encounter:
- King and Sam sneak out to get an idea of what the guard situation look like
- 2 guards downstairs one up in each turret
- One additional guard to the left of the main gate
- There were three ways down, only 1 is accessible, the other 2 are ruined and cut off
- Stone steps into flooded area
- 12 feet above the water is the ceiling
- Can't tell how deep the water is, there's a rowboat there
- The boat itself looks safe to use
- Mr Feely a door on the left that he was unable to go through
- He saw an ice pillar on the right with brown mold
- Attempted to pass the ice pillar and was poofed out of existence
- Go back to the room and sleep
- Everyone had to roll due to wearing the Chardalyn amulet
- (secret) Zaas received a sealed contract from her patron and reads it
- Zaas signs the contract
- She commits to getting the Chronic Seether to sign
- She commits to taking over if things go sideways with Chronic Seether
- Mare drops off breakfast
- Mike Steelmoore is guarding Cadroth the Fiery
- Cadroth the Fiery is hunger over in the room
- Has many letters in front of him that were unbeknownst to him written by Zaas
- Zaas convinces Cadroth the Fiery to have Chronic Seether sign papers
- Typically has 5-6 guards for these contract signings
- Zari and Sam take a stroll to get a lay of the guards
- The trap door was unguarded
- Sam and Zari rush back and grab everyone else
- Dawn Chasers go downstairs
- Sam unlocked door, find 4 bodies, killed during taking over the keep
- Sam and Zaas memorize their faces
- Dawn Chasers meet a rat who tells them that Avaris comes down to visit but that's about it
- Dawn Chasers get in front of the ice pillar
- There's an ice pillar with an orange skinned pale person inside
- It's an effige that they worship
- We do recognize that we should avoid the brown mold
- Avaris is in her room downstairs next to the pillar
- King is from the Shadowfell
- From Reeshmarllow, and wound up in the material plane
- Never wants to go home because its a plane of nightmares
- Check the next room over, has a lever
- Go further down the main route on the boat
- Found the remains of the castle guard
- Found the servants malnourished
- Leave swords and the key
- Come back upstairs and make signs
- Go put up signs around town about the signing
- Zaas and Sam talk to Cadroth the Fiery and swap out the papers to be signed by Chronic Seether
- Zaas talks with Mike Steelmoore trying to convince him to come to our side for tomorrow as he has reservations about the cult
- Long rest
